HIRING ESSENTIALS

When coming to hire a vehicle, it is important that you bring with you all the documents you may need as proof of identity, and of course, as proof that you can legally drive the vehicle requested.

In most cases, we require your driving licence (both parts, if you have one of the new style licences) and also your passport. If you do not have a passport, you may also bring two recent utility bills, such as your telephone or gas bill. These bills must be less than 3 months old. If you will be using your own insurance to cover the vehicle, you will also need to bring these policy documents with you too.

It is our company policy to hold a £250 deposit for all hired vehicles, but if you are paying by credit card, this is no longer necessary.

In summary, when hiring a vehicle, you will need the following:

  • Identification
    • Driving Licence (Both Parts)
    • Passport OR:
      • 2 Utility Bills dated within the last 3 months

  • Insurance Policy (If using your own cover)

  • Credit Card OR:
    • Enough funds to cover the hire charge PLUS £250 Deposit
We have a large, secure compound where you are welcome to leave your own vehicle for the duration of the hire period, and so transport to and from our site should not be a problem.

If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact us either by email at info@lakesidehire.co.uk, or by telephone: 01384 411188.
